We have three mental health first aid training courses available. They are designed to create awareness, encourage openness and challenge stigma in the workplace, and out in the community. The sessions will give you a better understanding of mental health conditions and how to help yourself or someone in need of help.
This two-day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications and is aimed at those in supervisory, senior management, pastoral and head of department roles.
A one-day course covering the content of the Level 1 course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol. It incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace. This course develops Mental Health First Aid ‘Champions’.
This half-day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions. Serving as a solid platform and introduction to Mental Health First Aid, participants will learn the skills to start a conversation. Furthermore, they will be able to signpost the person towards professional help.
