Safeguarding and Protecting the Vulnerable

On the 27th June 2017, we visited one of our school clients in Madrid to deliver the Level 3 Award Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults course.

The Majadahonda based school are amongst our education provider clients in the Spanish region that recognise the significance of this course.

Our Head Trainer Chris Simmons covered key topics such as:

• Indicators of abuse or neglect
• Making judgements
• Communication
• Roles and responsibilities
• Sharing information
• Handling allegations and complaints

We can’t stress enough the importance of effective communication and collaboration when dealing with safeguarding issues. Therefore, much of the session involved the group working together and discussing case studies.

It’s not the easiest of subjects to cover – it can be highly emotive and thought-provoking. So, we appreciate participants openness and approach to the course, and importantly their dedication to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults.
