Description:

The Health and Safety Executive has, for many years, recognised the risks associated with manual handling.  Employers are obligated to provide employees with the relevant training to minimise the risk of injury.  This course covers the necessary principles and therefore promotes good practice within the organisation.

Syllabus includes:

• Understand the reasons for safe manual handling
• Understand how risk assessments contribute to improving health and safety
• Understand the principles, types of equipment and testing requirements associated with handling safely
• Be able to apply safe manual handling principles
