Description:

This entry level course will take participants through the basic elements of fire safety.  The session is mostly classroom based but there are practical exercises such as finding all fire safety exits and identifying potential hazards.

Syllabus includes:

• The common causes of fire
• The behaviour of fire
• Legislation (brief) and responsibilities
• Fire prevention
• What to do if a fire breaks out
• How to use fire extinguishers
• Emergency evacuation procedures
